This is one of the charities that the DWC supports. They are located in Mason and is a very small organization. It’s amazing that they do as much as they do. We will be presenting them a check to help with their efforts.
Here is a copy of their newsletter.
Look what you did!!
Your support in 2013 provided assistance to 66 kids!! That is a record number of kids helped in a single year by Building Blocks for Kids. BB4K and the families we have assisted cannot thank you enough!! To give you a better look at how we have helped them, here are some of the needs met:
- More than 540 hours of therapy were provided to 26 children
- Four (4) kids were provided with a communication device
- We assisted three children and their families with home modifications to make their homes more accessible
- Three families received wheelchair accessible vans and another received a lift to make their van accessible
- Five kids were given assistance so that they could attend Ohio Valley Voices for speech and hearing therapy
- And many other needs were met as well such as home therapy equipment, displacement costs so a child could get the help they needed away from home, specialized prescription formula, shatterproof eye glasses, and so much more!
We could not have done this without your support! We hope you’ll come celebrate with us at the Annual Event on March 1st (see sidebar) and that you’ll spread the word about Building Blocks for Kids.
